Loughrigg Tarn is a little off the beaten track and I confess I had not actually visited it before, that’s a mistake I won’t make again.

We had been chatting with another photographer as we left Blea Tarn and he gave it his hearty recommendation. As we were heading that way anyway we thought we might as well stop off along the way.
